About

About MissWizz

MissWizz was born from a simple but powerful idea:

sanitary facilities should be comfortable, hygienic and accessible.

For everyone, regardless of gender.

Our mission

We believe everyone deserves a toilet experience with dignity

— even at festivals, city squares or remote locations.

With MissWizz, we provide water-free, gender-equal, and ergonomically designed urinal solutions

Why it matters

Hygiene

No contact with dirty toilet seats.

Reduced exposure to germs thanks to non-fecal system

Ecologic

All designs work without water flushing.

That saves thousands of liters of water,

saving both resources and costs for venues.

Comfort

No crouching over dirty toilets.

Women can pee upright,

in a comfortably ski-like position.

The posture is ergonomically designed

for urination only.

Efficiency

Quicker to use than regular toilets,

leading to shorter queues.

Perfect for busy events or venues.

Gender equality

This goes without saying, of course.

Our story

MissWizz was founded by a woman who understood the frustration firsthand. After experiencing countless uncomfortable event restrooms, she set out to create something better—something that would genuinely improve comfort, hygiene, and accessible for women.

What started as a personal problem has grown into a practical solution that’s helping women all over the world

2010

The concept of the female urinal and name 'MissWizz' was born as a graduation project

Product Development from Ellen Lejeune at the university of Antwerp.

2011

The thesis design was transformed into a feasible, cost-efficient prototype. With support from the City of Ghent, it was tested for three years at the Ghent Festivities.

Among 310 interviewed users, 94% said they were satisfied and would use the urinal again.

The prototype also attracted spontaneous media attention in newspapers, on radio, and on the TV show 'Goedele Op Dinsdag'.

2013

Het Krochtje, a cosy mobile toilet container, was equipped with a MissWizz female urinal and has been used at various public events.

2017

After a makeover, the first prototype of 2011 receives a second life and has been used for 6 years during various events at Bar Bricolage in Ghent.

2018

Conceptual elaboration of "MissWizz Urban" for cities.

A permanent female urinal in which 2 urinals are installed.

2019

A second prototype tested the cabin’s practical use. Mobile, transportable, and user-friendly, it was funded through summer 2019 crowdfunding and built from stainless steel and plastic tarpaulin. The cabin has two female urinals, including one at a lower height for smaller women.

It was enthusiastically used at the Ghent Festivities and Reggae Geel, gaining spontaneous media coverage in newspapers, radio, and VTM News (22/07/2019).

2021

MissWizz and UniWizz 'Hero', made in powdercoated stainless steel are available via the website. With clients located all over the world.
